Rule idea: colleterial zone.

body blocking is really annoying as cortex, I'm not innocent, but it really fucking annoying when you lose 20 amniocytes because they were near a zealot that was in dire need of being lit up.
so to end it the devs could give a small vicinity around limits where people are combat flagged and thus if they're shot and killed in that aura, they're not considered unjust or a crime, it's just colleterial, this wouldn't only end body blocking but would keep inline with the theme and atmosphere with the game.

think of a tragic prole who never did anything wrong just kept his head down but died because he happened to stand near a scumbag, that's some dark stuff right there.

Jason's death trauma isn't about the Joker

so I've just flicked through WFA and every bloody time I try and read it, it pisses me off for one reason or the other.

The subject here is Jason's characterisation; why the fuck is he having panic attacks every five minuets over the joker, where the did this come from? his death was never about the joker, his trauma was never about the joker, you could swap any villain out in the situation and his trauma would equally have nothing to do with them, hell two face beat him harder than the joker did for that short time.

his trauma is about his Sheila (who he believes is his mother) and Bruce, he died wondering if he was ever actually loved, thinking he didn't deserve it if they did. when he came back and saw the joker still alive, to him that proved that Bruce never loved him, just used him as a tool like every other caring figure in his life from Catherine, to Willis, to Gun, to Shelia, to Talia (eventually), and then back to Bruce.

that was the whole point of under the red hood, that's why he set up that entire plan, to either make Bruce show he loved Jason or prove that he didn't.

it has nothing to do with the joker. The joker is entirely inconsequential to his problems.

and then with lost days his personal problems are elaborated on further showing he doesn't believe he's worthy of consideration if he doesn't offer something, which is why I think he clicks with Talia who's a natural manipulator, she by habit uses the people around her, with Jason she can be honest about that and Jason is used to that relationship particularly from maternal figures so accepts that manipulative part of her. it's actually sweet in it's own tragic way regardless if their relationship is maternal or romantic in nature allowing it to be read both ways (because Morrison is and always was a weirdo, seriously I was calling him out long before the allegations).

the Problem Jason has emotionally is that he wants unconditional love like any other person particularly from his parent in Bruce, however Bruce never gives his love unconditionally which is where the emotional character conflicts between them show the stories happen.

this is just the trauma part of his character and story not the moral aspect which is even deeper.

Joker shouldn't be a trigger to him, Bruce should be, Bruce not trusting him, placing conditions on their relationship, holding the rest of his family as leverage for those conditions, those are things that should be triggers for him, (and have been in the comics).

and I also don't like how his panic attacks are him locking up and not breathing, his pathology that is shown in comics is nothing like that. yes I know that's how they will look like for some people they will not look like that for him, his panic attacks should be violently aggressive, they should be shit like him staring silently at a wall for 2 hours, not heaving in a corner like his on bloody tiktok, they should be specific to him and his character.

this is just something that annoyed me while reading and I wanted to rant about.
