They truly make this amazing game not worth playing. Devs need to do something about it because it's literally just a troll's paradise.

okay in the game, i got gunked by a shit ton of proles, and can you guess what happened? they killed me when i was in 20 debt! fuck that to pushing that many rocks out of the pit, so i wanna ask, how long do you think until a server falls to rot? as im not spending the next 5 hours of my life pushing rocks out of a hole

body blocking is really annoying as cortex, I'm not innocent, but it really fucking annoying when you lose 20 amniocytes because they were near a zealot that was in dire need of being lit up.
so to end it the devs could give a small vicinity around limits where people are combat flagged and thus if they're shot and killed in that aura, they're not considered unjust or a crime, it's just colleterial, this wouldn't only end body blocking but would keep inline with the theme and atmosphere with the game.

think of a tragic prole who never did anything wrong just kept his head down but died because he happened to stand near a scumbag, that's some dark stuff right there.

Curious if folk still play this game.

I get that we are all more familiar with Nightmare, but Misery just seems like the better map. Like is this a timezone thing or is everyone really just playing on the one Nightmare server?

If there is an active Misery server, I would love to know more about it.

i keep hearing people talk about “the midnight stabber”. mostly proles and some cortex. the scum never talk about it.

i use it as a joke, but people seem to actually worry about this dude. i’ve never seen him. is the midnight stabber real or just a meme??

he is very real, I had an encounter with him on misery when it was dying and low pop at night, I was a humble prole dumpster diving and the streets were completely empty, which I prefered because I knew I would have more trash for the next day when the server was full. To my dismay, the trash never got to my locker, for a man I presumed to be the midnight stabber we assume myth of now appeared at the end of the alley I was in, we locked eyes with eachother and I was actually relived to see another player since they were rare this time of hour. I was unaware at first glance, but locking eyes was actually the midnight stabbers motif, for he soon went on to stalk me through miserys corridors as I continued to loot, it became unsettling quickly. You might expect a stalker serial killer type to be a prole, but no, the stabber in question was a banker, dressed in what I knew to be very expensive cosmetics for the time, particularly black and red in colour scheme. I think the bankers eyes are supposed to be like a bugs eyes, which made the encounter even more freaky. After 15 minutes of him following me, I began to try interacting with the accursed banker that terrorized so many, he gave no answers, simply standing still and observing. I wanted to attack with my pipe, before he beat me to it and took out his stabbing implement. I of course run away as I think I know what's about to happen next, but I cant shake his tail, we dart through the alleys and bridges until exhaustion grips me and I cant run my feeble malnourished prole getaway sticks any longer. Death himself was sure to take me in this moment I thought but instead the midnight stabber only continued to watch, and observe from his comfortable distance.

For this is how the midnight stabber truly operates, he never strikes first, only instilling paranoia and fear until you cant take it any longer and attempt to ward away the nightmare with physical force. But as with any proficient serial killer... they choose to prey on weaker victims, for I was just a prole with a pipe. I couldn't take the stalking any longer and swung my pipe at the midnight stabbers head, to which point his demonic mask slipped and brutality ensued, I was utterly hopeless as my mind had already been captured. I die laying on the streets, my killer not stopping to loot or descrate my body, only moving onto the next poor victim.

I only have 42 hours in this game and probably half that at the time of the encounter, and if people talk about him only in myth and legend, then I guess i must have been pretty unlucky to have bumped into the apex predator of aneurism IV. We also must not discuss more about the midnight stabber, two posts is already enough and three may summon its malignant soul even stronger than before. Be weary of the midnight stabber and always watch your back on a low pop server, sometimes that feeling of being watched is more than just a hunch.
