PlayStation Network 2011 Outage Reminder

Regarding the recently announced end of Physical Media. People seem to forget that time that the PlayStation Network was out for 24 days.

I see a lot of people stating that we have to move with the time and that discs are a thing of the past. If the PSN was out again, your licenses unless verified and active on the PlayStation you are using, would be entirely useless.

I have a PS5 Pro and a regular PS5 and I moved to physical just for the easy of being able to move downstairs with my disc in hand and continue playing where I left. The same thing after or during moving to a new house, I had to wait until my ISP connected the new place and one PlayStation was rendered useless. That is why I started going back to physical.

We should have both options always. Physical and Digital. Both have their pros and cons but the option available will always be good for the consumer.

*Update was to correct typos and improve grammar a bit.

Hisense U8N VRR Sync Line Problem

Hi everyone.

I originally posted this issue more than a year ago. After a couple updates it went away but now it’s back worse than ever. Random lines appearing on screen using VRR or not, using 60hz, 120hz, 144hz, using HDR or not, using Enhanced Mode, Enhanced Pro, Chroma 4:4:4 or 4:2:2, using an Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5 or PC.

They are not exclusive to Steam only as shown on screen but they were happening there so I decided to capture it as it is very random.

I am using an AMD 7900XTX with the latest drivers and an HDMI 2.2 cable that I have tested with other devices with no issues. Yes the cable is 2.2 because I wanted to remove any possible bandwidth issue with it and I have tried 6 different cables from different brands and the issue still happens.

I am desperate and looking for a solution from Hisense because this is a software issue. In addition to this the Enhanced Pro mode while connected to a PC does not allow you to utilize Dolby Atmos. Only the Enhanced mode which limits at 120hz allows you to do that. The HDR Active Tone Mapping as well si completely broken when using AMD Freesync Premium Pro on PC or consoles. It says the limit is 550-600 nits and while on Enhanced mode (limited to 120hz) it goes to 1000 nits.

I want to love this TV. I moved from Samsung because the HDR compatibility with Windows is horrible but this Hisense is really breaking my head because its issues are now even replicable on gaming consoles.

Thank you for your attention.
