Built a "second brain" that turns the videos I watch into my next video ideas

I watch a ton in my niche and every video sparks an idea a hook, an angle and every one died in a notes app I never reopened. So I built Margin: drop in a video, it remembers what mattered, and when you're stuck it hands you your next ideas from the stuff you've actually watched (not generic AI filler).

Been running my own channel on it and the "blank Monday" problem basically vanished. It's early and solo-built , sharing in case anyone else has the ideas-graveyard problem. What would make this genuinely useful for you?

Shipped my first extension (article → LinkedIn/X content), build went fine, getting users did not

Just published Spark that turns the article you're reading into LinkedIn posts / X threads / infographics.

I could figure out the tech: Manifest V3, Google sign-in via chrome.identity, OpenAI calls behind a Cloudflare Workers backend so no keys hit the client, Stripe for Pro.

What I can't crack is getting it in front of people . I've tried Reddit and LinkedIn and it's quiet. For those of you who've shipped extensions: where do your installs actually come from? Is it Chrome Web Store search/ASO, communities, content? Would love to hear what worked, because right now my install graph is a flat line.

Built an extension that turns articles into LinkedIn/X posts — but I'm clearly bad at getting it in front of people

This started as a personal annoyance. I read a ton, I'd hit an article and think "there's three good posts in here" — and then never write them, because reformatting into a LinkedIn post or X thread every time just killed the motivation.

So I built Spark: you're on an article, hit the extension, and it gives you LinkedIn posts / X threads / summaries / infographics in roughly your own voice. Solo project, React extension, Cloudflare Workers, OpenAI, Stripe.

Here's where I actually need this sub's help though: the product works, but I'm getting basically no organic traction. I've posted on Reddit and LinkedIn and it's mostly crickets. For those of you who've gotten a solo project off the ground — what actually moved the needle for you early? I feel like I'm missing something obvious about distribution.

Link's in a comment if you want to see it, but honestly I'm more after the traction advice.

Built a Chrome extension that turns articles into LinkedIn posts / Twitter threads / infographics. 1 month in, 23 installs, 0 MRR. Roast it.

I save 20+ articles a week telling myself I'll "share something smart on LinkedIn later." Sunday comes, I open the tabs, get overwhelmed, post nothing, close laptop. Built Spark to fix my own laziness — then put it on the Chrome Web Store to see if anyone else had the same problem.

How it works (30 seconds end-to-end):

  1. Open any article

  2. Click Spark in the toolbar

  3. Pick output — LinkedIn post / Twitter thread / summary / infographic

  4. Tweak → copy → paste

Stack: Mozilla Readability for clean extraction, a Cloudflare Worker handling AI calls (cheap + fast), Google sign-in for cross-device sync. Built almost entirely pair-coding with Claude inside Google Antigravity, honestly the only reason I shipped in a month around a day job.

Where I actually am — no hype:

- v1.2.1 live on the Chrome Web Store

- 23 installs, 4 weekly active, 1 free signup, $0 MRR

- Free tier: 25 gens/month. Pro: $9/mo for 500.

- Solo built. Zero ad spend. Organic only — short-form video on TikTok, IG Reels, YouTube Shorts, FB Reels.

Three things I'd genuinely value your eyes on:

  1. Pricing. $9/mo for 500 gens feels right but I have zero data. For folks who've shipped AI extensions — would lower price + higher cap convert better at this stage, or am I overthinking it?

  2. Hero use case. I built it for engineers who hate writing (me). But content marketers, sales reps, students, recruiters could all use this differently. If I had to put ONE use case as the hero on the listing — which has the most "paying customer" energy in your gut?

  3. Traction channel. Chrome Web Store discovery for an unknown brand is brutal. For anyone who's grown an extension past a few hundred users — what actually moved the needle? Product Hunt? Posting in target communities? Cold DMs? Something I'm not seeing?

Happy to install and give honest feedback on your project in return, drop a link in the comments.

Spark Content Engine

Side note: doing this on nights and weekends around a day job in Germany. Layoffs have been heavy at my org lately, so I'm shipping side projects partly as a hedge, partly because I genuinely enjoy it. Any feedback, even harsh, is a gift.

Built a Chrome extension that turns any article into LinkedIn/Twitter posts — 4 users, need a sanity check on pricing + traction

Hi All,

I spent ~1 month building Spark Content Engine, a Chrome extension that turns any article you're reading into a LinkedIn post, Twitter thread, summary, or infographic with AI. Looking for honest feedback before I sink more time into it.

Why I built it: I save 20+ articles a week meaning to "share on LinkedIn later." By Sunday I open them, get overwhelmed, post nothing. Spark is my attempt at fixing my own laziness — built it for me first.

How it works (30 seconds end-to-end):

  1. Open any article
  2. Click Spark in the toolbar
  3. Pick output type — LinkedIn post / Twitter thread / summary / infographic
  4. Tweak, copy, and paste

Under the hood: Mozilla Readability for clean extraction, Cloudflare Worker for the AI backend (cheap + fast), Google sign-in for sync.

Where I am right now (real numbers, no hype):

- v1.2.1 live on Chrome Web Store: 4 users, 2 ratings yet

- Free: 25 generations/month. Pro: $9/month for 500 generations.

- Built solo. No paid marketing just organic promo videos on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and FB Reels.

Three things I'd genuinely value your read on:

  1. Pricing. $9/mo for 500 gens feels right to me but I have zero data. Have you found a sweet spot for AI Chrome extensions? Would lower price + higher cap work better at this stage, or am I overthinking it?
  2. Use case to lead with. I built this for myself (engineer who hates writing), but I imagine content marketers, sales reps, students, and recruiters could all use it differently. If you had to put ONE use case on the store listing as the hero, which seems most "paying customer" energy?

  1. Traction channels. Chrome Store discovery is brutal for an unknown brand. For those of you who've grown extensions past a few hundred users, what actually moved the needle? Product Hunt, posting in target-user communities, cold DMs, something else?

Happy to test/review your extension or side-project in return drop a link in comments.

Hi, I’m trying to install OpenClaw on a MacBook Air with Apple M1, and the install/setup is breaking with this error:

Error: Cannot find module '@larksuiteoapi/node-sdk'
Require stack:
- /Users/chandanjha/.openclaw/lib/node_modules/openclaw/dist/extensions/feishu/client-yWGpoGkZ.js

What I’m using:

  • MacBook Air
  • Apple Silicon M1
  • zsh
  • local install path under ~/.openclaw

I already tried reinstalling OpenClaw, but I’m still hitting the same issue.

Has anyone seen this before?
I’m trying to understand:

  1. Is this a packaging bug in OpenClaw?
  2. Is the Feishu extension being loaded even when I don’t use it?
  3. Is there a clean fix or workaround on macOS Apple Silicon?

Any help would be appreciated.
