[Q] Ana main — How to hit those huge heal numbers?
Hey, I've been a long-time Overwatch player — hardstuck Silver 1 — but as the title simply says, I'm getting "outhealed" by all the auto-aim healers in the game. Usually Kirikos and Moiras.
On a non-Control map (or when I'm — we're* — not rolled) I can hit maybe 10k, 12k consistently. I thought that's pretty decent then I get flamed by the 40k healing Kiriko. [Now this is really an exaggeration, usually if our team is taking that much damage there's a fundamental flaw and I won't actually claim this is my fault].
But basically I do watch some Pro gameplay in the OWL and OWCS, and even some high-profile streamers. They can consistently double my healing while doing roughly the same amount of damage -2k maybe....on Bap, Kiriko and Ana.
Now I know perhaps looking at numbers isn't going to help me climb but if I'm not pulling my weight, I'm never going to climb anyway. I'd like some advise, specifically for Ana:
- How do I get impactful heals on the team? I'm not trying to "beat" the other healer, but I don't want to have like a quarter of their heals. I can heal, but they just seem to heal more, faster.
- I've heard a lot of times that it's "support who can heal" not "healer/healbot" but yeah, how do you achieve both? Unfortunately at my rank I am hardwired to prioritize keeping everyone topped off, but I usually (to avoid getting a random headshot) tuck myself around corners and peek to heal and get a random shot in. Can anyone give a small tip here to assist in being impactful in the damage department too?
* At bronze/silver, there is no "we". Everyone is trying to get that Counter-Strike Clutch.
