Why do YOU Yumeship?
Might have been asked before but I want to see if people's experiences with self-shipping are similar to mine.
I've been self-shipping for YEARS. I would latch onto a character and adore them, before my next hyperfixation stole my attention away to a different character to obsess over. I feel real love for my favorite characters. Due to some very traumatic situations in my childhood regarding relationships and such, I've always reacted...poorly to being in IRL relationships. To me, fictional relationships are safe, as the character being fictional means they can't hurt me, and I can fully control what scenarios I think about. Is that why other people yumeship too? It's safe and within their control?
So, why do you yumeship?
