Renegade Provisions God of Mischief (GOM)

M390 and TI/Micarta.  I’m the 2^(nd) owner of this knife.  This one hurts.  If had this knife for 3 years, maybe longer.  It’s one of my all time favorite knives.  I’ve carried it and used it some, mostly opening packages.  I performed all of the ano work on the knife.  It’s been disassembled for ano, cleaning, and installation of skiffs.  Has been sharpened.  It just kept getting left in the box as new knives came in.  I don’t want to let this one go, but someone else should actually get to enjoy it.  Includes  full kit (hard case).

Just received my Venezianico Nereide Bronzo that I bought at last week's Wind Up in Chicago. Love the watch, it's beautiful. The problem is the strap. It's a quality strap, but it's rubber. Rubber and I do not typically get along over the long haul, so I'm looking for a replacement.

Long way of saying, show me what you have your bronze watches on to provide inspiration!

I was at Wind Up today with my wife. This was my first time at Wind Up, but we've been to Hours+Minutes in Chicago twice.

The day started our well as we got there about 10 minutes before the show opened and found a parking spot right by the venue. It was about a 5 minute wait and we were in. Citizen gets you as soon as you get in. I respect Citizen, but I want there for their watches. You then get to the Coffee area and this is where Brew is appropriately located, along with 4 smaller brands, including Fitwell. As a Brew Metric was on my potential buy list, we stopped here and talked with the Brew team.

You then go through the EBay live area, which was only important because the restrooms are there. Then you come to main room where everyone else is. It was busy, but if you were patient, you could see and handle anything you were interested in.

I was able to meet Mark from LIW, but I didn't see any other SMP's. The tables were all at least 1 layer deep with some of the more popular 3 or 4 deep. Formex and Vulcain were both very crowded. Venezianico was on my list so we stopped there and found 2 that I really liked. March LAB charge our eye and we spent time with them. CW was actually visitable unlike at H+M where you just can't get to their table. Squale had some bangers as did OraOrea.

My wife by the time we'd went around once had made up her mind on a March LAB. While a quartz, it's a beautiful watch. I was torn between a Squale AutoS and a Venezianico Bronzo. My mind got made up for me when the last white Squale they had sold before I got back, so I picked up the Bronzo. While my wife was about to get her watch at the show, I was not. When I first stopped by, they had the Bronzo in stock, so I did not think to ask if they still had it. This was my mistake. I paid for it, on their website, which should have been my first clue. After I paid, they told me it would ship 2 days from Italy, duties paid. I was not happy, but I should have asked. It was the watch I came for and had I acquired it in any other fashion, it would be shipped anyway. Live and learn.

The folks from March LAB were awesome. Gave my wife a good discount and we're just nice to talk to. The folks at SU gave me a Desert Sky pin when I told them I had a Series 1 DS. The Spinnaker team gave me a bag when I told them I had one of their GMT's. If you go, go talk to the Hampden folks, probably my most enjoyable conversation about watch making and US watches.

I highly recommend hitting it up tomorrow if you can. I'll be back next year for sure.

SOK J-Cape 3.5 Group Knife

CPM 20CV and Ti.  I’m the 2^(nd) owner of this knife.  The first owner claimed to have never used the knife.  I carried exactly twice, but that was enough to get some minor snails on the scales.  However, the clip and hardware are clean and its still on the factory edge.  This knife is in very good condition.  Includes original packaging and card.  This is an early number, serial # 22.

Full Disclosure: This knife was sold and then returned to me because of detent lash. Here's a video of the issue right after I got it back. Before Video.

The lock bar tension on the knife was light. There was no issue with the ball seating in the detent hole, but the lock bar was not applying enough tension. I disassembled the knife and adjusted the tension. As you can see in the video above, the lash is gone and the detent is crisp.

And picked up a couple of watches. One for me and one for my wife, though we'll probably both wear them. Been on my list of things to do since we planned this trip last summer.

I picked up the MR with the Roulette dial and my wife got an HMS. Both in blue and both with the tan strap. So much fun visiting the home store and meeting the staff there

So I picked up a beautiful little Gruen off of EBay. Crystal was broken, and the shard was in the watch, but after I uncased it, it kicked up. The dial looks wonderful too. I need to replace the crystal though. When I removed it, it had this ring around the outside of the crystal, which literally just fell off. In addition to the chunk missing, the bottom edge of the crystal was coming off.

The crystal looks to me like a run of the mill acrylic crystal. I measured it, as best I could at 30.06, so I got a 30.1 the ID of the ring is 27+. (I didn't write down that measurement.)

Do I just put the replacement crystal in my press and compress it, slide the ring on, then press that assembly into the watch?

S35VN and Aluminum.  I’m the OG on this knife.  This knife is the WMK exclusive and come from the original drop of the Ankylo.  This is far and away my favorite Vosteed.  I’ve carried and used this a lot.  It’s a beefy knife that wants to be used.  It’s been sharpened once an stropped several time.  Very fidgety with for different deployment methods.  I’ve upgraded this with the Skiff bearings.  This also includes a brand new button as the OG button broke.  Includes box.  This is from when Vosteed gave out the super nice metal boxes too.

M390 and Titanium.  I’m at least the 2^(nd) owner.   This is a catch and release.  Just got this in last week.  Carried it once and knew it was not for me.  Looks like the prior owner carried it some, though it maybe that these come with a distressed finish.  Otherwise, knife is in great condition.  Action is great.  On the factory edge.  This is a steal at this price.

Kunwu  Excalibur Compact Verta Lock Stonewash/Orange Peel

Elmax and Titanium with timascus pivot collars.  I’m the OG of this knife, ordered it on drop day.  These were among the very last versions released by Kunwu.  I got tired of waiting and bought a Diamond/Satin on the secondary.  Both knives arrived on the same day.  I carried this knife once, put it back in the box and decided to keep the other one.  So, one day in the pocket with no use, otherwise this is mint. Kizer Spitfire

14C28N with Aluminum and Blue Richlight handle.  I’m the OG of this knife.  I thought this was the best mid tier knife from Kizer in 2025.  Super smooth action.  It has that perfect close.  There is a scratch on the blade that I did not notice until I shot the video.  This knife is stupid good.
