Time and a Word original mixes speed question

Hey everyone. I am continuing work on Time and a Word without the orchestra. I just completed a mix of No Opportunity Necessary, No Experience Needed. It is the most challenging yet because of the heavy use of strings. I did make a decent first pass and got rid of the double tracked lead vocals.

I decided to take a look at the “original mix” bonus track and found that it seems to have more guitar that could fill in some gaps. However, the speed on these original mixes is all wrong. They are far too fast compared to the album versions.

It sounds like No Opportunity could be a quarter semitone higher. It sounds very close when I drop the speed and pitch by 1.445%

Sweet Dreams is really off. It sounds very close when I drop it by 5%.

Before I go too far down this path, has anyone figured out the precise changes needed here to match the original speed?

Thanks!

The Bear TV show and Heart of the Sunrise

The Bear’s “special” Season 5 opening episode “Gary” heavily features Heart of the Sunrise throughout. Brilliant use of the song.

The Cool, Cool River [2026 Remix]

Major highlight from this tour. Such a powerful song. I wanted to see if I could give the studio version a little more detail and strength.

It’s amazing what is found hiding within Pearl Jam recordings (Retrograde)

Guitar tracks somewhat buried in Retrograde followed by the end vocal run that sounds like Arc
