Heart aches for little mermaid!

I got Disney plus and rewatched the series first then the 3 movies for nostalgia since they were my favorite as a kid and Ariel was always my favorite princess that I look for merchandise but when I watched the series after decades I kept feeling sad because all these friends she made in the series she left behind like urchin, Gabriella, and spot etc especially since at one point her friend urchin was scared she would leave and everyone would be sad! I get why she left she wanted to be a human and it was better for her cause she was more happy on land still I felt bad and kinda wish there was a plot point where she can visit and turn into a mermaid whenever she wants without her dads trident.

Then there’s her collection she starts in the series they show how she got to that point in collecting and even when her collection is destroyed in the series she says she will start another! it meant so much to her and it hurts later seeing the movie after the series where her father destroys it.i like triton but that scene was rough!

Lastly triton and Ariel’s father and daughter relationship they were so fun to watch he was very protective and strict but I thought it was cute how much he loved her in the series and worried for her especially eps where Ariel hits her head on the seahorse episode he was so worried, then that time she got in the whirl pool and goes to save her and when he called her “my Ariel” , it hurt more to know in the future his youngest would leave to go on land and they won’t be close in distance anymore.

Just needed to get this out love the franchise but goodness the feels!

AITA for telling my friend she just can’t invite others without permission?

I 26F had finally moved into my own apartment after saving up for so long and after a few months living alone I got used to always having company over like close family and friends just to chill and hangout. Sometimes people would show up unannounced I never minded because I knew them personally and they don’t overstay there welcome.

However recently when I was cleaning my apartment I had a friend I’ll call Jay text me and ask if she can come over that she wanted to get away from her house and her husband had his friends over. I said yes and waited for her to pass by but when she knocked on my door I opened it to see someone else behind her I didn’t recognize! Jay introduced me to her saying “ this is my friend! I hope you don’t mind I brought her I found her on my way here!” Jay rides the bus that’s how she was able to see her friend on the way.

I tried to be nice and say sure welcome in but a while I feel like they could see the tension in the air from my face and attitude I was also really quiet and just had the tv in the background. Eventually they left and jay texted me asking me if I was alright and I said “ look I get that she’s your friend but you can just out of the blue invite just anyone at my place always ask and then proceeded to say she did ask but I told her she didn’t not until they were already outside my apartment not really giving me a choice and it would be awkward if I said no! Jay told me it wasn’t a big deal but whatever and didn’t say more.

I messaged my other friends who agree with me saying it was rude but to let it go just this once

Aita for how I handled it? Also sorry for any errors English isn’t my first language.
