Ban Bike Defeated

2 of the 3 commissioners declined to approve the staff’s “alternative 1” proposal for Heil.

At this time staff will propose educational and awareness initiatives in lieu of an actual ban.

Thanks to all those that wrote or called in support of common sense.

I will say I was a bit surprised that Levy did open the door to “bike only” days at local trails. Unfortunately there doesn’t yet seem to be appetite to opening existing trails or creating new ones. But that’s a discussion for another day.

Goat Rodeo

Did this little Houdini get home safely? I had to bail after 5 minutes of trying. 19th and Quince.

Thanks to all those that stopped and tried to help.

2024 Sport Touring Exhaust Tip Advice

Looking for a little advice from somebody who’s more knowledgeable in these things.

We have a 1-Up bike rack on the back of our CRV ST and the exhaust has twice cracked carbon bike rims during long (10+ hour) drives. The exhaust tip currently sends the exhaust that either heats the rack or the rim itself until failure.

My question is whether I can buy or manufacture a tip that will direct the exhaust downward away from the rack a bit.

Thanks for any advice.

Thanks to the kind soul who helped me get home

I don’t know if they’ll see it, but thanks to the person who rode back to town from the Rez as I was going through some mild vertigo. Fortunately it didn’t get too bad until I got home. (And then it got bad.)

Just another positive post to offset some of complaints about Boulder locals.

Boulder Valley Ranch

I thought the Degge and/ Hidden Valley and/or a new trail were to be opened to bikes this year as a result of BMA’s work.

Anybody know if that’s still a go and when? Thanks!! (Or did Claire surreptitiously kill that too.)

Table Mesa RTD Parking Question

Parked last week and paid for parking for what I thought was the entirety of my trip.

Due to some family health issues I have to stay away longer than expected. I can’t seem to find a way to extend my valid parking permit. Thoughts? Thanks!!
