Do you actually think during arena, or do you mostly just react?
Random question I've been thinking about.
When you're playing arena/PvP, especially once you've played your class for a long time, how much are you actually thinking about what you're doing versus just reacting automatically?
Like are you actively thinking:
"Warrior used Avatar, I need to trade a defensive."
"Healer has no trinket, next CC chain could win."
"They have X cooldown coming back in 20 seconds, so I need to hold Y."
Or does most of that eventually become instinct/muscle memory where you see something happen and immediately react without really consciously processing it?
I feel like I do a lot of reacting in the moment, especially in shuffle around 1800 MMR because it feels like straight chaos. I'm wondering if better/high-rated players are constantly thinking 2-3 moves ahead, or if they've just played enough that those decisions become automatic.
Curious how it feels for people at different ratings.
