Kobra max 3 replacement control board

Typo in title! It’s a Kobra 2 max which another commenter has pointed out for me. Thanks!

I need some help from the anycubic community. I use to own a anycubic kobra max 3 3d printer that I stopped using because I moved onto other hobbies so I gave it to to my wife’s friend sons who are 10 year and 6 years old and really into 3d printing in STEM at school. I want to mention that she recently divorced her drug addicted x and is doing everything she can but money can be tight and not to mention things are just plain sort of shitty right now for them. So I thought it would be great to give them my printer.

Well they texted me that the printer stuttered after one print and then wouldn’t turn on. It was strange since I never had an issue with it. I went over there and investigated and fuses were good, power supply powered up, motherboard fuse was fine, etc but the screen wouldn’t boot up. I ended finding that the right side encoder unplugged from the print bed moving backwards and catching the cable which I assume causes the horizontal rail that carries the hot end to buckle and bind, shake/bind, then the mother board failed from the extra load being placed on the left encoder. Anyways that’s my theory.

I want to purchase a new control board for them but having a hard time finding one. Does anyone have any recommendations how to fix this thing? I don’t have lots of time to rebuild it for him but if I can change out the control board that would be doable. I’m tempted to buy an entire printer for these kids at this point since they are pretty broken up by this thing breaking after a single print. 🤦‍♂️

Sorry for wall of text

TLDR: gave my printer to wife’s friend’s kids. Printer broke after first print. Sad kids. Can’t find parts. Need help.

Edit: sorry I miss typed! It’s a kobra max 2!
