(Repost) Found this vintage radio in my dad's shed; wondering about fixing it up for a prop.

(Reposting bc the pictures didn't load for some reason and I'm hoping they are now)

Found this supposedly late 1940's-1950's radio, and I've been wanting to find an old radio as a prop for a Decopunk D&D campaign I'm running. I've never restored anything vintage/antique, though (outside of clothing) and am wondering what tips people have for it.

Additionally, would it be sacrilege if I painted or decorated it after fixing the cracks and such to match my story aesthetics better? I also don't need it to work electronically (though the lightbulb is very cool), but might work with my techie husband to have it be Bluetooth or mini audio cable able; I've seen people in this subreddit ask about and make that happen.

Any information, advice, etc. are greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Found this in my dad's storage; can I reasonably restore the appearance for a prop?
