Need Encouragement - Inducing in 3 Days

Hi all, 39 weeks here with my first baby, getting induced in 3 days. Needless to say, I'm scared out of my mind. I am worried about the pain, how long it'll take, complications, THE PAIN...

Everything has been perfectly fine with this pregnancy, but I just worry now that I'm at the end of the line. I guess I'm just looking for encouraging words or positive induction stories. I can't imagine how I'm going to get through it.

Induction for weight?

Hi there, FTM 30F at 28w/290lbs/45 BMI. I've had a pretty normal pregnancy so far, minus placenta previa which has since fixed itself.

I have heard from others that with a high BMI/weight that doctors tend to induce early, like around 38/39 weeks. Is this something that is normally experienced? I was looking through my clinical notes and saw something in there about delivery at 38 weeks, but no one has mentioned it and I thought it was because of the placenta previa. I have my seven month follow up Wednesday but wanted to see what everyone else's experience is!
