What should I do?
I am a 5 star tasker with over 100 tasks. I do mostly landscaping. I was hired by someone to weed their front garden beds. The client was not at home when I did the task. I let them know I was done and they asked me to send photos of the completed task, so I did. Now they are saying that I dug up their perennials and tossed their mulch. I clarified with them at the beginning of the task what they wanted to keep and they didn’t mention any perennials. I also know that I did not dig up any perennials. They also claimed that I threw away their mulch. They had very sparse, if any, mulch and I didn’t throw it away but it did get mixed in with the dirt. it’s super obvious from the pictures that they provided that they are lying. They are saying the mulch was $80 and the perennials were $25 each. I know for a fact that the mulch was $20 tops and the perennials were $7/ea because I have the same mulch and perennials at my house, believe it or not.
My question is: what are my options for handling this? should I send an invoice for the 2 hours I worked and risk getting a poor review? Can I cancel the task and just take the loss of pay? What happens jf they report me to TaskRabbit? I value my rating more than the money I would make from this job.
