My highland cow

My friend happened to mention that she loves highland cows, so I made this cutie for her. Can’t wait to give it to her this weekend!

Pics show finished cow and what it looked like before adding the fur (which took way longer than I expected).

Made this for my (adult) son - was looking for a more realistic type pattern (vs a teddy bear type).

It is a Leisure Arts pattern (https://leisurearts.com/leisure-arts-bear-crochet-epattern) - a little strange in that the body and each of the legs are in three separate pieces that you sew together. I liked the effect for the legs, but for the torso the seams are too visible and it looks a little “frankenbear”. If I had to do it again, i would figure out how to get the right shape with a single body piece. I liked the face and legs a lot though!
