Anyone added collagen peptides to their routine specifically for hair growth and thickness?
I have been on my natural hair journey for about three years and growth retention has always been my biggest struggle. Moisture, protective styling, gentle handling all sorted but my hair just wasn't retaining length the way I hoped.
Started reading about nutrition and hair health properly and the connection between collagen and keratin production genuinely surprised me. The amino acids in collagen peptides are direct building blocks for keratin which is what our hair is actually made from. Felt like something worth trying properly rather than dismissing.
Three months in and the thickness and density of my hair has visibly improved. New growth feels stronger and I am retaining more length between trims than I ever have before. Still doing my usual routine so the collagen feels like the variable that changed things.
Been using Welzo Bovine Collagen Peptides specifically and the quality has been consistent throughout which matters when you are trying to track results properly.
Curious whether anyone else here has tried it consistently and what results you saw. How long before you noticed anything and did you combine it with anything else?
