New sword day (Fabri Armorum Sidesword)
So yesterday i got my new sidesword and i just wanted to Show it and say smth about it so someone may have some information for future purshase.
First of communication and production time was good. Answers came in fast (2 days max) and it was done in under 2 month. I requested a more flexible blade of 6kg and as far as i tested it ended with 6.5kg. Overall everything went fine.
It weights around 1.2kg with a blade length if 90cm and the PoB is realy close to the handle. Could be a little lighter but im no sword smith so im just happy that it handles realy well.
The hilt is big enough for my Red dragon gloves (size L).
The tip is a saftey tip which he made a bit bigger for more saftey in the thrust. He said i should put adhesiv tape on it for more durability which i will do later on.
Quality wise i cant say anything bad. Looks all well made. Afterwards i thing i should have requested that the hilt should be polished. Prob looks better. But that fault is on my side.
Hopefully i can test it out the next days in sparring.
Edit: the grip construction broke while the first sparring according to the smith this normaly doenst happen. I send it back for repair and will update this post after some testing.
For now the weapon handling was very good and even after the incident i think it can be a good sword. Just have to wait For the repair.
