Prejudice neighbor in Fayetteville, NC
This is my pretty girl Dumpling. By the looks of her, she obviously viscous and unloved. Shes obviously a danger to society. Dont believe me? It’s because she’s not any of those things. But my neighbor who has judged my family since the day we moved in because my kids weren’t going to a private school like her overly privileged children, she has consistently called animal control on her. Called me and left a nasty message saying her yard looks like shit because she’s “terrified” of my dog.
Little back story, we bought our house in 2021 and when we moved in there was a German shepherd who snarled and barked at us. What would your dog do in that situation? My dogs barked back and learned they can’t trust the dog. They also had a lawn service who would taunt my dogs with a weed wacker. I know this because I witnessed it AND confronted the lawn workers. Another time I was outside late at night grilling and her son started taunting my dogs. Which caused them to bark. I yelled to tge neighbors and they acted like they couldn’t hear me. Fast forward to the last 2 months she has called animal control 3 times making false claims. At this point it’s harassment. And I can’t do anything. I have to sit here and turn the other cheek. This turned into a long vent about my judgy behind neighbor when really I just wanted to see that strangers could love my Dumpling also.
This is my pretty girl Dumpling and her BEST friend Pistachio. When we adopted Pistachi, Dumple Anne was the first family member he trusted. They’ve been inseparable ever since. ❤️
Edit: this is obviously a terrible explanation of our situation. My dog doesn’t bark, she’s never attacked anyone and she’s a very good listener. But she’s afraid of lawn people next door. We have a fenced in back yard. I have MS so no I don’t go outside with her every time but I keep track of her and she’s not outside long. If she hears the lawn people she just wants to go outside and protect the home. I tried to rectify the situation by introducing my dog so she know her and would no longer be “terrified” and she refuses. She wants me to lose my dog because she wants to throw a fit. She doesn’t want to take accountability for her part in things and is stomping her feet until someone gives her what she wants
