Dobby decided he was in love with Lord Barkis, the sequel.

Last year after over 4 years of living together, Dobby (cat) randomly decided Lord Barkis (dog) was his new love obsession. Still going strong, he is proving it's not just a phase.

Barkis is such a good sport, sometimes when Dobby is licking his ear or rubbing on him he's just looking at me like mother why.

Mouse and Sesame

Found out about this sub today! What a great home for my backlog of photos of my pitty and cat who are besties :) Sesame is the cat. She can’t stand other cats at all but immediately glommed onto Mouse. She cries when he’s in the back yard without her. (Working on harness training so she can go with!) Mouse is used to living with cats that ignore him at best and occasionally smack him, so he was confused at first but now I think he’s into it :)

Possible Festivus Card?

This is my daughter’s menagerie. I’m thinking of using this as my Festivus card. Thoughts?

Success stories needed

Hi everyone! Thank you in advance for reading this. We have a 3 yr old bully mix and we are in the early stages of introducing her to a 7 month old kitten (3weeks in). So far we’ve kept them separate. They see each other through a baby gate for a few minutes every day. We reward the dog when she turns away from the cat — 80% of the time she will listen to us and turn away. The cat is super comfortable around us and the dog. We end the meeting if the dog gets too fixated. Last night we had a positive moment where the dog sniffed the cats butt through the gate (yay!) but then there was also a quick air nip from the dog in the cats direction (no growling, no lunging, no whining) just a quick air bite — probably her way of saying ok this is too stimulating I need space. And we gave her space.

Our dog lived with a cat before, he was a senior and passed a couple years ago. So we did not anticipate a tough intro but we’re happy to tackle it. Just want to read some success stories of pets that took a lot of time and training to get to a good spot. Help me with my morale please 🙏🏼.

I think my supervisors fell asleep on the job.

I don't think my supervisors did anything at all today.

We painted the living room today, so all the furniture is crammed in the dining room. It's the perfect spot for the girls to "supervise" the humans. Ignore the snoring, it's unrelated.

L to R: Poppy the pitsky, Little Girl the 17yo grouch, and Gracie the 7 weeks recovered from TPLO.

My Pit and her baby cat

So, I have a pitbull who me and my gf had ever since she was 8 weeks old. Mind you, we have 3 other dogs but somehow, my pitbull fell in love with our cat. We also got our cat last year at 8 weeks old and ever since then, they're both inseparable. My pitbull cared and loved our little cat and protected him from my husky (who gets overstimulated and excited to play with him).

Before people judge: YES! We did a slow introduction when they all met and my two chihuahuas (females) loved him at first sight. My pitbull on the other hand LOVED and licked his head when she was introduced to him. She was very shy and had her head down but her tail wagged. My husky was overstimulated so he was pretty much scaring him (but they grew to like each other and they're both softly playing)

Lastly: I just wanted to show their bond 🥹

Greeting big sister when she gets home from Doggy Daycare

We've had our 9 month old kittens for 6 months now and the male is really interested in greeting Astra when she gets home.
