My husband & I have birthdays just a couple of weeks apart (Hello, Leo Season 🦁) so my MIL got us a cabin on the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and OF COURSE we brought the dogs!! It’s their first time seeing really big water but hopefully next year we’ll get them to the ocean 🤞🤞
Freyja French Fry loving on foster kitten #88 Baby Phillip 🩶❤️🩶 Freyja came from the shelter I volunteer & foster with, Muncie Animal Care & Services. She was taken as an impounded neglect case during a confiscation of various animals. The first time she ran free was in my backyard 4 years ago this month. She is the universal mama, just happy to be here and hoping everyone else is happy too. She is the best partner for me & my Fen Chicken and she has mothered every animal that has come through the door (we welcome foster dog #53 in the next few days along with the kitties 🥰). I love her to bits & pieces ❤️
After 8 months in the shelter with zero interest, Milkbone was finally SEEN in foster at Fen Chicken Fosters 🥰🥰 No trial adoption or doggie date required, he is officially ADOPTED as of this afternoon!!! We love you, big man!! Live the very best life that you have always deserved 💛🥳💛🥳💛🥳
The first 24 hours with latest Muncie Animal Care & Services foster Milkbone is complete and he is settling in like a DREAM!! Final 2 pics are from Dec. 11, 2025 when he was pulled hungry and scared out of a trap house. After 8 months in the shelter, his decompression has blown me away 🥰 He came in like he’d been here his whole life - playing with Fen & Freyja, greeting the cats, and jumping in the pond. He is as close to perfect as any dog I’ve ever fostered and I’m so excited for him to find his forever!! He’s going to be a dream come true for someone 🤞🤞
My human roommate has moved out with her dog and 2 cats, so I immediately brought home a new foster dog 🥰 This is Milkbone!! I’ll post pics later of him skinny as a rail when he was rescued EIGHT MONTHS AGO. He has sat at Muncie Animal Care & Services in Muncie, Indiana since then with no interest, so he came to get spotlighted at The Pit Stop 🤞 He is dog-friendly, cat-friendly, and even jumped in the pond to say hi to the koi fish 😂 This perfect boy has a WAIVED adoption fee so please share his story to help his forever peoe find him!!
