Euro Denominations

I will be traveling to Europe in a couple of weeks. I plan to get my Euros before I leave. What are the best denominations to ask for when I do? I don't want to be doing the equivalnt of pulling out a $50 to buy a cup of coffee.

Tipping while traveling US, Greece, and Italy

ETA - No tipping in Europe. I had planned to get € before I left.

It's been a while since I have traveled anywhere other than by my car. My person who knew all of this passed a couple of years ago. I haven't been able to find anything on Google that is less than 5 years old.

When I am traveling by plane, how much should I tip for in the US, Greece, and Italy. Is the amount the same for $ and €? and if I am in ORD, ATH or FCO, does it matter if I use $ in Europe or € in the US? :

  • Skycaps checking my luggage per bag.
  • Wheelchair assist - This is new for me. I can walk most of one terminal, but changing them is a challenge.
  • Airport shuttle driver both to the hotel and car rental car lot. Is it per person or per bag?
  • Car service from ATH to my hotel and then to the cruise ship the next day?
  • Bus service from the cruise ship to the airport?
  • Hotel porter when I carry all my own stuff or if they carry it. I am planning to pack so I can stack and roll my stuff myself.
  • Am I missing anyone?

I am going on a family reunion on the Allure in a couple of months.

Pretty much all was arranged by the reunion committee. Cool. They did a lot of work.

But, as far as I can tell, they signed the whole group up for dinner in the MDR at 5pm. That’s like a late lunch for my immediate family. And, I don’t know how well we will be able to hit it on port days.

Is MDR available at times other than your assigned seating if you are not come whenever?
