Half step
About as good as it’s gettin from me on this one I feel.
Had some good ideas sprinkled in there.

But I did Peggy-o this morning in key of G and it didn’t sound like a dying cat. Have a good week yall.
Wife and I took a walk around Haight Ashbury the other day. Swung by a familiar house.
Played a loop in A and then was playing with my pedals, I thought a fuzzy Q-tron sounded fun. Rough take just noodling over my loop.
This was a tobacco burst squier bullet I “dead spec’d” off of Garcia’s Alligator. My first one
1.). Refinish: vintage neck stain and fretboard ebonized. All fretwork redone. Waterslide decals for the headstock. Rattle can paint thin poly finish.
2.). Headstock drilled for imperial tuners. Schaller M6 installed. String trees added (made a brass spacer for one out of a pipe I had). Brass nut added
3.) body screw holes repaired and re-drilled
4.) 6 point tremolo bridge with solid brass block and saddles (decked)
5.). Pick guards and knobs: custom brass plate and modified stock strat pick guard. Abalone vol knob and ebony tone knobs with maple inserts. Brass switch tip.
6.). electronics: fender vintage noiseless pickups, CTS pots (1k tone pots) 500meg vol pot (push/pull “Gilmour switch” to add bridge to mix). Alembic blaster circuit and jack. CRL 5 way switch. Historic push back style wires. Pickup Covers painted and sealed
Bridge pickup can be swapped with clips . I put a Seymour Duncan twang banger in there sometimes
7.). stealie car badge under the bridge and an alligator sticker on the back trem plate
Fun stuff hope y’all enjoy.
Caught on a 4 inch nameless white fly I tie with a deer hair head and rabbit tail and some flash. Cool eat. We posted up to throw to rising rainbows. They were small, and at one point this fish absolutely trucked a rainbow from below like one of those sharks on the discovery channel. Like we weren’t watching and heard this thing maul this 6-8 inch rainbow. I had that fly on a glass six rod with a 75 year old click pawl
And I think this fish ate on like the third cast from below just like he trashed that little trout before. Might not be a better sound than an old English click pawl
Getting ripped by a 26 inch fish as fat as a grown man’s calf. The first time I saw its head I thought it was a steelhead and my buddy in the bow thought it was a pike when it showed broadside. Don’t know if I’ll see one this big ever again.
I’m gonna try this one again but for the love of god can someone tell me what the hell that like rattling metallic buzzing shit is every once in a while?
This song grooves so effing hard
An excuse to mess with my pedals. There is definitely some technique to this Q tron I’m finding. I’ve resorted to picking with the corner of the pick with it close enough to my thumb to like simultaneously mute the attack some. Added compressor, helps, thanks to whoever suggested that.
