Hello all, know it’s going to cause a lot of friction, but I’d like feedback from European visitors to AIs, specifically Excellence Coral. Was the expectation to tip overbearing? I’ve got no intention of worrying about leaving my room checking that I’ve got money to sit by the pool. But do staff totally ignore those that don’t tip? I’m happy not having in your face over bearing service if it means I have to wait a few more minutes for a drink. And what about meals? Do servers genuinely expect a tip?

As I said, non-US perspectives appreciated, I know the imported US tip culture dominates based on the clientele of the resort, but hoping to avoid it. It’s a ridiculous system and I’ve got no intention of partaking in it if I can avoid it.
