Recommendations for entertainment wall with off-center fireplace?
Hello! We’re planning to gut and renovate our den in a few months. Given the layout, we think it makes the most sense for our sectional to face the fireplace.
I know mounting a TV above a fireplace is polarizing, but I’m afraid it may be our only practical option? The ceiling is low at 6’8”, and the space between the top of the fireplace and the ceiling is currently about 40”. The wall is a little less than 11’ wide. The stone will be demolished and replaced, so we will be able to run electric. I’d love to mount two stereo speakers as well, but we’ll see.
Ideally, I’d like the TV centered on the wall, but since the fireplace sits farther to the right, centering the TV over it will look a little off.
My initial thought was to build a long mantel to visually center the wall and allow the TV to align with the room better. Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance!
