Pain and swoleness one month after egg retrieval

Hi everyone,

I am coming with yet another post regarding egg retrieval post recovery. I had 17 eggs retrieved but 31 follicles in total (most of them empty), and a very difficult recovery. I had mild OHSS, the 12 days after the retrieval were quite awful, my belly was huge and swollen, I could not walk the first 6 days, I had sharp pain, nausea, diziness. I was given medication till my periods to keep the hormones down. Fast forward, I got my periods on day 13 after retrieval, and as expected the swoleness went down, and I felt much better. The periods lasted around 8 days.

After my periods I noticed that I had mild pain and mild swoleness in my belly again. A few days later (a week after my period), around 25 days after retrieval (3 days ago basically), my belly started swelling again, and the pain in my lower belly returned... It's there throughout the day and becomes quite sharp in the afternoon throughout the evening.

I called the fertility clinic (they are in another country, I can't visit them) and they told me to rest. I booked an appointment with a gynecologist on 12th July. In the meantime, has anyone experienced this? Is is possible that the ovaries start swelling again after going down/healing and that started leaking fluid again (hence why my body is swollen)? What should I do about it, does anyone have any tips in terms of food etc? I went to the gym when my period ended (last week) for two sessions (weight, but not very heavy), tat might have contributed to the situation?

I dread going back to the same situation... Thank you so much!

Post Egg retrieval recovery

Hi everyone,

I am 32 and I did my egg retrieval on Monday morning (30 follicules and a lot were empty, so 17 eggs retrieved) and I have been bed bound every since (today is day 4 after the retrieval). My belly is extremely swollen and I am not able to walk, or very slowly and painfully. The pain is quite intense, especially at night, and I also get dizziness, brain fog, and nausea. I was told it can happen and I should be patient. I was given a range of medication to avoid OHSS (cabergoline and injections of Orgalutran until my next periods). Anyone here went through the same, and how long did you take to recover? I did not expect to be in that state after the retrieval. Any tips?
update: my glucose level is 54 which could explain my dizziness and nausea. clinic jsut recommended to eat every 2h.

Thank you!

13 follicles at day 6 scan

Hi everyone,

32F here. In April I went to do a AFC which showed me 36 follicles (20 one side, 16 the other), and AMH of 2.89. I decided to freeze my eggs in May. I got one first injection of Elonva on Thursday (day 2 of periods).and Progevera pills every day, and today (day 6 after first injection and first scan) they only counted 13 follicles growing. Did anyone face the same situation? large follicle count at AFC and then only few follicles growing?

Tips for foreign youtuber in Kenya

Hi guys, i live in Kenya (but I am Greek/French) and I started a youtube channel about society topics here. I made a couple of videos and one got me 64k views (one about an OnlyFans girl here, very controversial topic). Ideally, i would want to do documentary/reportage style, which does take a lot of time to film edit etc... So I am also looking for shorter content to boost my views. Any tips any youtuber in the same field could give me in terms of content, but also how to produce more often?

Thank you!
