Neighbor hitting dog in my yard
hey guys! sorry for any mistakes, I’m super frazzled by what happened.
so my neighbors walk their two huskies on really long retractable leashes. the youngest had them out today and they were in my front yard as far as they could go. which isn’t a big problem, if just annoying. but then one husky started eating something. probably MY dog’s poop. the young guy walked over, the husky rolled onto its back to show its belly, and he started HITTING it. like open palm, multiple strikes.
i shouted through my window “DONT HIT YOUR F-ING DOG!” he stopped, tried to make an excuse about there being a dead bird. I’m still yelling out my window lol (it’s hot and I wasn’t wearing pants while laying in bed so I couldn’t run outside) and I’m telling him “if you didn’t walk them on ten foot leashes maybe you could get them!! don’t hit your dogs in my yard!” I was so mad! he tried to tell me to mind my business but I told him to not do this shit in my yard then. he kind of whistled for his dogs, they werent really listening and I was like “no rush! no rush!”
I’m still so mad. idk what to do. I know where they live - about seven houses down? something like that. any advice? sorry for any misspellings, I’m writing this in a rush on my phone.
side note - I walked outside while he was only two houses away and I checked the spot. no dead bird. I know he heard me telling my mother “this asshole was hitting his dog in our yard!”
edit - yall im a girl, i couldn't just run outside with no shirt, no pants lol but the mental image is kind of funny
