Not sure what to do with Cockatiel and Lovebird

My cockatiel and lovebird have been in the same room together for four years to this point, not the same cage. I realize that cockatiels and lovebirds aren't particularly compatible. I do regret not doing more research prior, I wanted company for my cockatiel but couldn't handle the dust of another cockatiel in the room.

They'd gotten along well with supervised time outside of the cage for years, but recently it seems like our cockatiel has had enough and starts to pick at his leg and is clearly stressed whenever the lovebird is too loud or too pushy even when he's in his cage.

It pains me to say that rehoming might be the best option since I can't handle another lovebird. But is seperating them a good idea when the lovebird is mature and has an unrequited bond? I'm considering keeping the lovebird in my room since I wfh and he's very fond of me, but I doubt that solution will work given the bond. Frankly, I'm just desperate to keep him, but I also really need advice on what's best for him.
