How busy is mid to late September?

planning on hurricane hill hike, some of the la push beaches, hoh, marymere falls, sol duc falls, and Madison falls. Will be there Friday through Sunday. I’ve seen conflicting things online about crowds at this time of year. Some say it thins out a lot by then! Others say parking at trailheads and getting a spot without waiting for an hour are still going to be next to impossible. Which is the More realistic thing to expect? Thanks!

Doing studies while flying?

is it ok to work on studies while flying? It’s a domestic flight in my home country, not international flight. I do not believe I could use my cell phone hot spot (as that would not work in the air). I would use the delta internet. I am not super savvy on tech stuff. delta says if you want to keep things private, use a vpn, which I know is not allowed by prolific. I guess it’s a public network? is that allowed? Or even if it is allowed, is that a risky thing to do? thanks!

northeast indiana/zone 5. The area gets mostly sun but a little shade too (By mid to late afternoon). It is 15 feet wide and 9 feet deep. We plan to Keep the pachysandra along the front and each side as a border. In the bed is a large rock, about 6 feet out from the house and about 3 feet from the left of the pachysandra border as you are looking at it. The rock is about two feet by two feet and will not be moved.

things we do not want: daylilies, roses, carpet roses, barberry, boxwood, ornamental trees.

things we have nearby to maybe use here too: fothergilla, strongbox holly.

things we also like: dwarf Alberta spruce, tater tot arborvitae, ???

the area to the left and to the right of the pachysandra border are already filled, with daylilies, boxwood and fothergilla.

Other suggestions? Design plan? Thanks!

i retired in 2025. i’ve been receiving my regular pension checks and already got my annual leave payout. however, in March 2026, I received a leave and earnings statement that said I had 8 hours of Annual leave restored. I have not yet received a payment for this. does anyone know the phone number or email for SSA payroll and HR? thanks!
