Starting Insulin tomorrow morning. I'm terrified.

Starting Insulin tomorrow morning. I'm terrified.

Hi my cat Clyde was diagnosed recently and he has been on a strict wet food diet twice a day

I got his insulin and syringes in last thursday and I am supposed to start his insulin tomorrow morning, about 24hrs from now

I'm extremely anxious. I have been since his diagnosis.

He is starting on 1 unit twice a day and the doctor says she doesn't expect any issues with him going Hypo but it freaks me out...

How long after the shot do I sit next to him observing for bad signs? Do I do that for the entire 2 weeks before we bring him in for his Libre?

Could use some calming advice

Newly diagnosed, panicking

Hi my cat Clyde was overweight (25.31lbs) and lately has been rapidly losing weight and we got him into the vet on tuesday. He weighed in at 16.27lbs so about a pounds lost. They recommended a blood test and I just got the results. He is diabetic... I'm going to go back to the vet today for a follow up she wants to show me how to administer insulin shots and send me home with some

Then get a Libre monitor 2 weeks after

I'm OCD and am panicking afraid I will mess up or send him into hypoglycemia i love him i dont want to lose him

Update: Saw the Dr again and she was okay with me recording our follow up. But she talked about what diabetes is and the other concern with his heart (he might have underlying heart disease, but that isn't something to rush right now i guess...) but we talked about what to do and showed me how to administer the insulin. She wrote me a prescription for the Libre and helped me set up the insulin/syringes through the online pharmacy, saving some money. Im still extremely anxious and sad. But I got him some Fancy Feast Classic Pate 3oz cans I was wondering if one can in the morning and one in the evening is enough, or should i give one mid day too?

Called by a debt collector...

Hi before I start, I'd like to add that I am diagnosed OCD and overthink and panic about a lot of things.

But today I recieved a call. Local number, same area code. I answer just in case it's work related and it's quiet for about 7 seconds before they start speaking. It's a woman with an extremely thick (indian?) accent that is very very difficult to understand.

She first asks if she's speaking with [First Name Last Name] I say yes, she says she is calling about an owed amount of over $2,000 for an ambulance ride in 2024.

(I had passed out at work and my boss called an ambulance for me and I was transported to the hospital, checked out, and released within an hour.)

I could hardly understand her but she mentioned it being due by the 21st (8 days from now) and stuff and that I need to pay. Obviously I asked who this was and she answered but again, couldn't hardly understand anything she said.

I gave them my email address and asked them to send me an itemized bill that way, and we'll go from there, and they confirmed letter by letter my email and said ok.

Then was asking for my billing address which i thought was sus... wouldn't they have this information already? And have sent a letter first? Why didn't the ems company contact me first?

I basically ended with that and still haven't gotten an email in about 4 hours.

Is this a scam? I'm new to all this and I'm really worried. They had my full name, number, and date and location the ambulance picked me up, and where it went. That's a lot of money to fork over all of a sudden.
