Mypex

Happy with lawn but for the amount of work I put in not as good as it should be . Having terrible drainage in one corner of lawn , so decided to investigate why . Dug out a patch of lawn to about 150 mm deep . To my amazement , found out whoever laid the turf had put mypex membrane under turf . Apparently this is massive no no . Stops good rooting , poor drainage etc . Am I going to have to dig lawn up to remove mypex and unfortunately start all over again . Not git massive garden 30 m/2 . But will be a hell of a lot of work to remove all the membrane

Just reseeded big bare patches in lawn . Aerated put a layer of sand down , as drainage was terrible . Then a layer of good compost , then seed then good topsoil . Will it germinate under these conditions

Where can I get field compost number 4 for overseeding lawn in the UK as can't seem to find it anywhere , unless you buy in bulk off the website . I live in the Midlands

Overseeded 3 weeks ago. Starting to see germination in patcy areas now . Water every day for 30 minutes . Whilst walking on the lawn the next day the ground feels soft ,not completely dry . If this is the case ,do I still water this day too .Can u water too much . Tia
