Are we more likely to trade 9 for 12+17 or trade 30+gaff for top 20 pick

I know there's a ton of talk about the OKC trade or even trading for the hornets' 2 picks but with the rumors about Gafford being traded in the next few days wouldn't that option be a better accumulator of higher draft picks.

For example the spurs at pick 20 would love a cost controlled center who is much much better than kornet.
