Is it okay to sleep with a stuffed animal in the marines?
I understand its probably not possible in boot camp but can you do it after that?
Its not that I need it just makes me feel at home after a long day. I know its embarrassing.
I signed for the combat support contract. I know I can get assigned any of the 4 MOS on it.
0811 and 1371 make sense to me. I can picture the life of artillery Marines and combat engineers. I know less about 1834 ACV crewman and 7212 low altitude air defense gunner.
Do 1834 and 7212 marines spend a lot of time in the field?
What do 1834 do with the vehicle? Just driving it or also maintaining it?
Do 7212 work a lot with infantry to fight helicopters with the stinger missile? What does their life look like basically?
I'm looking for good MOS options to help find a job after service and that will teach me a lot of skills.

Aviation mechanic
Vehicle mechanic
General engineering
Utilities engineering
Which have the best quality of life?
Which teach the best skills for after service?
Which are good jobs to do after service?

I became a poolee last week and I had my first poolee PT session. It was so intense that I puked, Ive never experienced that before. Now I'm worried that maybe this is too much for me to handle. And I hate saying that because I really want to become a marine and serve the country I call home now.

I'm just looking for advice. Ive been working on pullups, plank and 1.5 mile run and thats been going okay. But when it's all mixed with pushups and sprints and other high intensity stuff I really struggle.
I'm seriously considering joining the Marines. The only thing I want to know is how gay people are treated the Marines. I know it shouldn't matter and it doesn't, I won't let it impact my decision. I just want to know what I'm getting myself into.
Is there any real discrimination? I'm not talking about jokes or whatever, I can handle that.
Do Marines treat their gay coworkers any different? Does it depend on MOS?
I moved with my parents and little brother to the US over a decade ago when I was 5. I'm 18 now and graduating high school in 2 weeks. Me and my family all got green cards.
I've been thinking about joining the marines. I don't have any concrete life plans right now like going to college. I do like the idea of the marines challenging me in all kinds of ways to make me a better man. I also see it as a way to give back to the US since I do view this country as my home.
I know it's possible to join with a green card I'm just not sure if it's more complicated or not? Will enlisting on a green card affect my time in the marines? Also how does naturalization after joining work?
What are other things I should know about the marines before joining? And btw do gay people get treated any differently?
