Climbing Jeans
These are my Bronson 47801XX that I’ve been wearing since last fall to rock climb in. I’ve washed them 3 times since August. The weather in KY is pretty cool through the climbing season and with the looser cut I didn’t have to switch to shorts until recently. Unfortunately with this most recent wash I acquired some spaghetti fading even using no-spin and delicate cycle in the wash. I haven’t had any issues until now which is a shame. Should I only hand wash them in the future? Are they slightly cooked?
The fit of these jeans is pretty similar to a pair of Carhartt double knees but with a higher rise. They’re loose enough on my thighs for movement but without being baggy. The durability of denim never fails to amaze me. The texture is pretty uniform across the fabric but I wasn’t expecting too much character for ~$100. They do soften up quite a bit.
On the note of construction The fly began to come apart after about a week of wear but Bronson did offer the cost of repair as store credit for future purchases.
Looking forward to wearing them in upcoming seasons and seeing the progress.
