Classy move adding the disclaimer into the new vein episode

The guys play a lot of early access games, but I sometimes feel bad for the developers when the guys shit on these early access games, usually without mentioning its early access. Maybe it’s because so many games enter early access and never finish the game, maybe it’s just the nature of banter and bitching, but I worry that a developer who is actively trying to improve their game could be hurt by their comments. not hurt feelings, I’m talking about the impact YouTubers have on these games popularity.

Anyway all that rambling is just to say, good on the neebs crew for acknowledging, in a meaningful way, the nature of this very ambitious early access game by a very small developer.

Platform(s): PC

Genre: top down/iso, Adventure(?)

Estimated year of release: Late 90s-early 2000s

Graphics/art style: somewhat cartoony, very early cg animation.

Sci-fi theme, probably alien planet, colorful, mix of natural and man/alien made scenery. Well lit, day night cycle likely region locked not on timer.

Notable characters: Player character was human(oid?) had colorful dreads or similar I think, blue/purple maybe.

Notable gameplay mechanics: exploration focused, minimal(if any) combat, avoid/flee aliens when encountered. I believe you had to collect power cells or green orbs or something to open/activate gates to progress.

Other details: I played this as a kid, and from time to time it will pop into my head and just be stuck there for months. Like a name you should know but just can’t seem to remember. Anyway, I’m really hoping y’all can help me out.
