Is this beetle eggs or fungus ?

We have a type of flower beetle and we were wondering if this could be eggs or fungus. We have springtails so fungus we would think to be unlikely in our humble opinion. It may not be very visible on the picture but it definitely is clutches of circles close togheter with black dots in the middle.

Chlorocala africana umtaliensis eating banana

I normally have 4 of them in my enclosure but only see 1 or 2 at a time coming out to eat, hope they are all alive!

First time owning beetles pt2.

Hi guys, I posted yesterday on this subreddit that we were new owners owning Chlorocala africana umtaliensis beetles. Only 24 hours after getting the couple, the male called AAtrox died. We had no idea and asked tips about their hiding behaviour after getting them yesterday. Today we saw that they still hadn't eaten so we decided to dig in the substrate to see if they were alive. Sadly Aatrox died and the girl Azula immediately went back to hiding even after trying to give it food for 30 minutes. We are not sure what caused it and are emailing with the breeder as we speak. My partner and I are obviously very distraught and would love to hear some advice or tips about the situation. I  do taxidermy in my free time so I will be posting about his life after death soon.

Our first time owning beetles.

Hi guys! My boyfriend and I finally got our first beetles, they are Chlorocala africana umtaliensis and normally we have one male and one female right now. Somewhere next week we should also be getting three grubs from the breeder. Any tips for first time owners? Right now they keep hiding in the substrate is this normal for their first time in the enclosure?
