Nubia update problem

I checked the announcement and release dates for the Nubia Z70S, as well as the Z60 Ultra and Neo 3 GT 5G. For some reason, I forgot an important detail this morning.

EU Regulation 2023/1670 was issued on June 20, 2025. It requires security updates to occur no later than 2 months after the release of a patch from Google.

Unfortunately, we have the following situation (based on requests and popular phones in the community):

- Nubia Z80 Ultra - announced October 22, 2025 / global launch - November 6, 2025(will receive security updates every 2 months for 5 years)

- Nubia Neo 3[GT] - announced March 03, 2025/global launch June ?, 2025(Corrected*)(Yes, upd. every 2 months for 5 years)

- Nubia Z70S Ultra - announced April 28, 2025 /global launch April 28, 2025.(No)

- Nubia Z70 Ultra - 2024.(No)

- Nubia Z60 Ultra - 2023.(No)

_____

Unfortunately, only the Z80 Ultra, Neo 3[GT] and newer models, officially sold in Europe, will receive regular security updates. This does not apply to MyOS/AIOS updates (ZTE decides when to release them, and the regulations do not regulate this).

All models after June 20, 2025... unfortunately, ZTE will decide when and what to update. There is no leverage over this, as happened with the Z80 Ultra when I spoke with ZTE Global. This is very unfortunate.

We will monitor updates for the Z80 Ultra, Neo 3[GT] and newer models(check information on "GSMArena", "EPREL") to ensure they are released on time.

P.s. I will send a list of all models(This isn't related to Redmagic. They have their own community) that will have 5 years of security support every 2 months:

(If you're planning on buying a new ZTE/Nubia phone and don't see it on this list, think twice. Do you need security updates every two months, or are you buying hardware and don't care?)

[This list is current as of May 19.05.2026][Update 2]

MyOS 16.0.20-Statistics collection:

(This is voluntary for understanding the scale)

1. Have you received an update yet? (If not, wait until Sunday. Check for the update a second time on Sunday. If it's still not there, let us know.)

2. What is your phone model?

3. What country are you from?

_____

This will help us map out the geography of a Update and its scale. Thank you.

MyOS 16.0.20 is here!

We're jumping through 3 updates.

Oh my god.

To be honest, it exceeded all expectations. I'm pleasantly shocked.

Confirmation of ZTE's Next Update (Likely Security-Focused)

Following a brief but productive conversation, ZTE has officially confirmed that the next update for security/MyOS [or MyOS+Security] (and others not related to Redmagic OS, which seems to be in a better position than our Nubia) will be released next week.

Unfortunately, I cannot say with absolute certainty which specific models will receive it. The discussion took place within the context of the European Union market.

100% – Nubia Z80 Ultra (European version)

90% – All models officially sold after June 2025 in Europe(I'm not entirely sure, but I believe this applies to most of them, if that's the case).

?% – Other global model versions outside of the European market.

[Logically, I think the update should apply to all global versions. The operating systems are the same across all regions. But I don't want to give false hope.]
