Naruto RPG: Spin the Wheel

I’m making a Naruto Spin-the-Wheel OC Challenge.

In one singular attempt, you'll roll for:

- Chakra Reserves

- Chakra Control

- Village

- Origin

- Loyal or Missing-Nin

- Age

- Era

- Elemental Affinity

- Combat Specialty

- Special*

I'll comment your loadout. Once you get your results, make a bio for the ninja in the comments using what you rolled.

The wheels only give you the foundation. You decide the personality, backstory, techniques, fighting style, goals, and how all the traits come together.

*Special is a rare roll that lets you add one extra unique trait or ability, as long as it fits Naruto lore and doesn’t break the setting, if you land on special. Either Special or NS ( not special).

Good rolls, bad rolls, weird rolls...work with what you get.

DON'T FORGET TO POST YOUR CONCEPT/OC IN THE COMMENTS

The wheel gives you the hand. You make the shinobi.

If you understand and are interested, comment: "Uzu"

FemNaruto or FemSasuke?

Which genderbend do you think creates a more interesting dynamic if the story was written with one of them as a girl? A FemNaruto trying to save Sasuke? Or A FemSasuke following a path of darkness while Naruto tries to save her?

Which would you prefer and which do you think would be the more interesting dynamic?

My Idea of An "Absolute" (DC) Approach to Black Panther

So, from my understanding, the Absolute universe (DC) is supposed to be a world where core/key aspects of some of our favorite characters are stripped from them as they are thrown into a world that's much more hostile than the one we know them from.

So Bruce Wayne, no wealth. Clark without the Kent's. Wonder Woman without Paradise Island and the Amazons.

Even though the New Ultimate Universe and Absolute Universe were comparable and did similar things, I don't feel that the Black Panther Ultimate Universe comic did a good job of showing a world with an altered history and how that altered history would affect T'Challa specifically. Many other characters fit this theme of lost destiny more cleanly, with the likes: Logan and the X-Men, Peter, Reed, and many more.

So my interpretation, would definitely focus more on the key and core aspect of the Black Panther character. Which is Wakanda. The Black Panther is who they are because of Wakanda. So it would be interesting to tackle a story that follows themes of lost heritage or a culture that isn't familiar to you (yet you descend from it) being thrust upon you. Similar themes to being a Black person in the Americas and dealing with the generational trauma/fallout of the Transalantic Slave Trade and slavery in the Americas.

My rough pitch:

*T'Challa is a descendant of the last black panther that was a follower of Bast. This is because at some point maybe due to catastrophe (or nearly being invaded) Wakandans turned away from religion or just turned away from Bast. Which would lead to political strife and eventually result in a coup that destroyed the royal family and left just a single heir alive. That heir would leave Wakanda in secret, surviving, carrying the "Blessing of Bast". Something that would likely empower and protect the bloodline of that last king so that one day they can be of service to her again.

*Fast forward a few hundred years, T (T'Challa) is a young college student (about 22-23 yrs old) living in the states, maybe of Haitian descent from his understanding. And for years he has felt this spooky/odd feeling that he was watched, or being looked out for. On top of that, he exhibits strange physical feats of the extraordinary every once in a while. Despite this he tries to live a normal life. But when he stumbles upon a piece of vibranium from an Archaeology/Anthropology professor, things begin to change and much is learned about his ancestry.

*Not sure how or where this would lead to but I mostly envisioned it as T (T'Challa) working and being an avatar for Bast. Carrying out her will (not happy about doing so) because she won't leave him alone. I initially saw him just taking pieces of vibranium back from those who would use it for evil at the request of Bast, so his story would be somewhat grounded initially. Giving him a more vigilante style of heroism, as he also uses his powers to just help people but also retrieve Wakandan artifacts and vibranium. I think collecting and amassing the vibranium would put him in the sights of the new Wakandan empire, one that is more brutal and more interventionist-like, think CIA contra type operations.

*Ultimately, after defeating the tyrannical Leader of Wakanda (likely a long drawn out arc, maybe a bit of a resistance/civil war vibe) I wouldn't make T stay in Wakanda to become the rightful king. He wouldn't identify with Wakandan culture as someone that views himself as American/Haitian but he would respect it as the home of his ancestors. Forming an alliance with a new Wakandan king/queen/leader that wanted isolation and peace for Wakanda, T would promise to protect its people and its secrets. He would continue being a hero, as a servant of Bast and as The Black Panther of Wakanda, doing so while still being his own person in the world of heroes, with the blessing (and maybe backing/support) of a new King/Queen. So he becomes more of an ally to Wakanda but still remains his own man.

But that's a rough concept!

Bonus: T( T'Challa) in this universe doesn't have years of training, Heart Shaped Herb, and tech to make him a savvy warrior. His powers stem from the Blessing of Bast. Giving him enhanced superhuman physiology all-around, enhanced senses, moderate healing factor, retractable nail-claws. He's intelligent, maybe even a genius but not up to the extent of his canon self. Eventually after forming a relationship with Wakanda, his kit would more firmly resemble his canon attire and tools.

If you read that whole thing, you're an all-star! I really would love to hear feedback or hear some of your ideas for what an "Absolute" universe approach to Black Panther would be like

Thanks,

-X
