My mom just got diagnosed with cancer, and we haven't gotten a real plan yet, but the doctor she meet yesterday said it was most likely untreatable cause the liver was in such a bad state so they can try but he is not a cancer doctor so he doesn't know.

My question is, how do I act around my mom? We got some history in my family so my response too sad stuff is joking and kinda like treating it like it isn't there, and I feel like that's disrespectful. But I also heard that some people wanna just get treated as normal.

My mom is the biggest fighter I know. So if she can't even get the option to fight it that's gonna destroy her.

This is day 3 she went in thinking worst case it was kindey Stones.
