I don't have a nice title for this update, so here are all the changes that have taken place over the past week.

Favourite Voices

You can now favourite the ones you love, and they will show up at the top when you are choosing a voice in the voice selection panel. You can also see the number of companions and favourites for each voice in the voice catalogue.

6 new voices

Nothing much to add to this section, there are 6 new voices. They were chosen based on what people requested. Feel free to request more archetypes and we'll try to add them.

Favourite Message List in Chat

You can now quickly see a list of favourite messages in the chat by clicking the heart icon in the chat nav bar (or in the chat menu for mobile users). You can also search all messages or only among the favourite messages.

Full comments list

For creators, you can now view all comments on your creations in the new Manage Comments page. You can access this via Creator Hub > Comments > Manage. Also you can now see the number of comments on your posts in the creator hub. This stat was missing for months and I never noticed.

We have not done too much in the way of marketing Saucepan and would like to try to do a social media like all the cool kids. At the same time we'd love to start showing off the amazing community creations here, and would love your help. You can now officially opt in to let us use your companions in our social media and marketing posts. Opting in just lets us know we can feature them when we finally figure out how the socials work. We now also have a tiktok and instagram (pretty empty for now but the idea is to be able to fill it up)

To opt-in, you can head over the new Support Us page we've set up. This also contains other ways you can help us grow and keep the kitchen running. Examples include, joining the beta, sharing your referrals, and of course, subscriptions.

Bugfixes and improvements

• Recipes and posts now also have the favourite button for custom CSS.
• You can now add the games to the quick access button.

Yes, you read that right, we have games now (3 to be specific). I took a break over the past week and really wanted to make some games, and here we are. You can compete for high scores for bragging rights, but other than that, there's not much else to say about it.

This is very irrelevant to the rest of the site and will likely not really be worked on too much, but I'll occasionally drop some new games when I need a break from coding real stuff. That said, you can use your spices in game for decorations so there's that at least.

Aside from the myriad of bugfixes, we've spent the past few months slow-cooking a text-to-speech experience that actually feels immersive. Instead of just droning through a wall of text like a standard browser reader, our new Narration feature automatically detects the difference between speech, thoughts, and narration and tries to deliver an experience (some of) you'll want to use.

How It Works

• Activate Narration: Look for the new :loud_sound: icon on any message to turn on Narration Mode.
• Smart Detection: The system automatically splits the message into speech, thought, and narrative blocks (which you can also fine-tune manually in your Voice Settings).
• Mix & Match: Simply select the exact parts of the message you want to hear, preview the credit cost, and hit play!
• Audio Timeline: Easily scrub through the playback timeline to jump to your favourite parts.
• **Sharing: **Have an audio clip you really love? You can now share your favourite bits from the "share" tab in your chat. Here's an example

New Settings

• Companion Voice (Creator Setting): Creators can now set a recommended voice for their Companion. Users will automatically use this voice by default, though they can still change it. For example
• Narrator Voice (Chatter Setting): Set your favourite default narrator voice in your Site Experience Settings.
• Voice Catalogue: Explore and search our expanding library of voices. We have plenty more coming soon!

A Note on Credits & Costs Because high-quality voice generation is significantly more expensive than text, Narration is a premium feature that uses credits

• Ladle Users: You still get unlimited premium text messages, but you will have a daily credit limit specifically for Narration.
• All Other Tiers: Narration will use standard daily credit pool.
• Free Users You can also use your daily credits on this.
