A few days ago I found this farely unremarkable leaf on the floor of a random hallway at my work. I thought I would try painting something thst did not initially inspire me and I'm very happy with the result so I jope you enjoy!

Watercolor on A4 parchment

Approx 5 hours to complete

Based on a photo I took. The black Juvenile flower head was unusual to paint. It felt out of place, but as an armature botanical illustration; I paint what I see.

Took about 10 hours to complete.

I was not sure if this painting was going to be posted here. For a while I was not sure that it was coming together as I hoped, but I'm mostly happy with the end result, if not a bit rough in places. I hope you enjoy!
