Thoughts on fishing?

So I've come into contact with the LoO material within the last year and it has changed a lot about how I interact with the daily world for obvious reasons.

One thing I am struggling with is the fact that I'm a big fan of fishing. I always catch and release because I don't like fish and have always used care to make sure the fish don't get improperly handled or hurt unnecessarily. I enjoy being able to interact with the fish and hang out in nature, but I also really like the sport of hunting for spots and targeting specific species. I'm now looking at it from the perspective of not wanting to cause pain to these animals just for sport and haven't spent any time fishing because I feel guilty.

I'm bummed about giving up the hobby but I know there's plenty of other reasons to get outdoors. I'm not asking for anyone to justify anything for me as I'm pretty confident I've made up my mind about giving up the hobby. I just wanted to bring up the topic and see if anyone else has had struggles with adjusting their hobbies or lifestyles after getting into material like this.

Thoughts?

EDIT: Thanks for all the thoughtful input! I'm glad I'm not the only one who's gone through this with their hobbies. I think I'm gonna try birdwatching and wildlife photography so I can keep myself in nature and still get to enjoy the animals without any fear of causing harm.

I also recently moved to prime Bigfoot hunting territory so back country hiking sounds exciting too. Love/light to everyone and thanks again. 🤘

Should I head to Vegas now?

After nothing but 5-20k pulls from spins for the last week, this felt pretty good. Anyone wanna do the math to determine the approximate value of this spin? I already have the mustang but the other cars are new.
