125 Leslie tweeter mod

I hear about people nodding their 125s all the time but not a lot of clear information exists on this. I am not interested in adding a top rotor, only a tweeter to feed into the existing bottom rotor. How/where does it need to be wired to the amp to get power/signal?

Shure Beta 52 has low output and no low end

Okay so a few weeks ago I was tracking some drums by myself for fun. I used my shure beta 52 for kick in. I use a Tascam Model 16 so phantom power has to run to every mic that’s plugged in. At some point during the recording, there’s a big clicking pop im the Kick channel and the volume is greatly reduced as well as most low end thump. I turn off phantom and unplug the mic after listening. The cable didn’t come unlocked or anything during my playing and it wouldn’t have been hit by anything. I plug it back in and test with the kick and it sounds fine. I forget about it.

Fast forward to yesterday and I have a session. I use the beta 52 for kick in once again and listen back after a quick sound check and it’s doing the same thing again. Low output and thin, clicky knock instead of warm and punchy thud. Pressed for time, I switch it with my D112 and go about the session without other issues.

Is this a common problem? Was it caused by me running phantom power to it? (It’s been fine with phantom for the year and a half I’ve owned it) are there any solutions for this other than buying a new capsule/new mic from Shure? Any help or insight is greatly appreciated.
