Laptop help for electrical engineering student

Hello, I'm in the market for a laptop after my laptop i used through high school tore itself apart. I'm on a pretty restricting budget (<800) preferred as long as can be, I was checking Facebook marketplace for good deals on used laptops, and I found a 2022 ASUS Zephyrus g14 with the following specs for $500:

- AMD Radeon RX 6700S GPU

- 16GB RAM

- 1TB SSD

- 14” WQXGA 120Hz display

The seller says no outside physical damage, but it has an overheating issue which I've read online is pretty common on these laptops, I have all the tools to take it apart and repaste aswell. I'm not afraid to do so.

I bet I can offer a bit lower than $500 for the laptop, but any thoughts on how good this laptop would be for a student like me?
