I chose a book called "The Dangerous Years" randomly, and this was prob one of the worst decisions I could have made. I don't find the book interesting or enjoyable, and it's really hard to read due to the old writing style and historical content. I'm only 30 pages out of 350. And I have to write this report by next week. Should I ask my teacher if I can switch (It's prob too late lol but no harm in trying), or should I just accept my choice?

Also, any recommendations for other books are welcome

Edit: I forgot to mention this is the 2nd book in a trilogy, so a part of me is not understanding the book is prob because I never read the first one
