You have to play devil's advocate for one of these characters. Who are you choosing?
Do your worst, don't hold back

Do your worst, don't hold back
Here's a scenario involving Cloud Guy being Thorn's roommate without asking, him living in Thorn's basement just to drive him crazy, and because all of those years of being a college dropout and unsuccessful finally catch up to him: (Cloud Guy is currently just lying around in Thorn's basement, being lazy and doing completely nothing. Then, he decides to ask him something) Cloud Guy: Hey, Red! (no response) .....RED!!! Thorn: (upstairs) WHAT?! WHAT DO YOU WANT?! Cloud Guy: I was wondering if you could let me go to the new party in Pop Village tonight because- (gets cut off) Thorn: What did you say? Cloud Guy: (beat) ......I said, "Could you let me go to the new party in the village-" Thorn: No, I HEARD what you said! You know what that high school GPA of yours looks like? Cloud Guy: Red, I've TOLD you this before! I just HATE going to school! All right, I don't- (gets cut off) Thorn: You hate going to school? How about I HATE having a roommate like YOU?! YOUR GRADES SUCK! (Cloud Guy starts to cry as Thorn continues talking) You're a grown man, you're STILL living in my basement, and you don't contribute to ANYTHING! HOW ABOUT YOU GET A REAL JOB, HUH?! Cloud Guy: (still crying) Yes, Thorn..... (he buries his face in his hands and completely breaks down. Then, he notices a baseball in his hand, which he's kept with him. He unwittingly throws it at something, causing it to make a loud sound) Thorn: (upstairs) WHAT WAS THAT?! I'M COMING DOWN THERE RIGHT NOW! (The sounds of approaching footsteps can be heard) Cloud Guy: OH, NO, NO NO, WAIT-
Thorn's entire backstory actually ties into before the events of the first movie, seven years preceding the very last Trollstice ever (remember that now), which was 20 years ago, before Poppy, Branch, or any other of the main cast in the franchise were even born, making Thorn at least 27 years old now and distinctly more mature and experienced in general than the others (despite still being in the age range of a young adult). When some Bergens attacked the Troll Tree just to catch some Trolls, Thorn was just an egg. One forceful impact caused it to fall out, and roll very far away from Bergen Town, and into the forest, quietly escaping before he even existed. Eventually, he hatched into the world, all alone, defenseless, and most importantly, an orphan. Ever since then, he's had to fully take responsibility in taking care of himself, fending off for himself and surviving all alone while tirelessly seeking for refuge daily all at a young age. Then one day, Thorn then found some quiet, empty beach which happens to be smack-dab of where Pop Village would have later been established seven years later, making him technically the first Troll to ever discover it in the first place. He then decided to claim the beach for himself, build a home there by himself, near the shoreline, and he's lived there ever since, making him grow hugely territorial. Thorn is everything Poppy and all the of other Trolls aren't: sarcastic practical, and greatly reluctant. He tolerates them to some extent, but can become irritable and severe when they act up, and is often trying to stay away from them most of the time. He firmly refuses to affiliate himself with anyone, or join Troll society, as he knows for a fact that he doesn't want friends and that he's fully content with being alone, which is why he is currently the way he is now, and he's fine with that, but some others aren't at all. He was often mocked and looked down upon, being giving the nickname "Red" due to him being a red-skinned Troll, which clearly deemed annoying and repetitive to Thorn, leading him to ultimately make his favorite color red. He could also be quite possibly the last red-skinned Troll of his kind. Whenever he puts his foot down, people would always think he's in the wrong and vilify him or push him around him unnecessarily even if he does nothing wrong at all, making them come off as bigots to him. Some would even go far as saying he's not even a real Troll. While the other Trolls live in ignorant bliss, thinking that life is perfect, Thorn being the skeptical realist he is, sees the world for what it really is rather than it being "cupcakes and rainbows" or simply "perfect". He doesn't sing, dance or hug, which is what Pop Trolls are usually known for, making Thorn the odd one out, and more importantly, a misfit. He's basically refused to be gaslit into thinking HE'S the problem by the other Trolls or sacrifice his dignity for his entire life. He has clearly no faith in society at all because they constantly view him as nothing more than "a cowardly red-skinned loner weirdo." Thorn actually decided to play into these stereotypes, because if he didn't, they would just flat-out push against him and harass him even more. Which is why he would rather not associate himself with society or people at all because apparently, people who don't follow the Trolls self-righteous societal norms are considered as "abnormalities that just need to be fixed" in general. Being both an anti-social loner and a self-induced outcast with friends for his entire life, he chose to live alone rather than in Pop Village, as he only looks out for himself. Thorn often tries to lay low and not bring any attention brought to himself so he doesn't get singled out or screwed over. He's very skittish, as he doesn't like to tempt fate, jumping into dangerous situations head-on, and he values staying alive greatly. Some of the things Thorn likes the most is practicality, critical thinking, and most importantly, the word "no." He often says it firmly and means it, no exceptions, and he doesn't care if people try to guilt trip, force, or manipulate him into doing something he doesn't want to do or not. One of the things Thorn hates the most is repetition. He likes to keep thing fresh, and actively strives for originality. He's had to endure an overly elongated deal of social ostracism for his whole life, but he doesn't even care at all. In fact, Thorn actually likes being a misfit. Because he realized early that doing things for other people's benefit is nothing more than pointless and a waste of time making him grow hugely rebellious. He is shown to have great determination towards his goals, which sometimes clashes with his temperament. Thorn often feels like the Trolls want something from him just for simply existing. His whole entire life's end goal is to get respect, recognition, and to be actually taken seriously in general. He naturally has no romantic interests or feelings for anyone and just wants to do his own things. Thorn is actually really lenient with things, but he often can be stern when he's pushed to a certain limit to such an extent. He often tries to set realistic expectations and goals for himself. Thorn has a severe low tolerance for most things in general, especially pain. Thorn likes to take as much leisure time as he wants so he can allow himself to fully unwind, cool down, and reset. He doesn't like to take anything or even himself too seriously or over dramatize anything, and often doesn't use big words when he speaks. He sometimes makes simple jokes every now and then. Thorn often wishes to himself that everyone would just stop treating him like he's a little kid, or that he's stupid, which he is more than anything but. He is severly lacking in discipline, but he never genuinely sees that as a problem. Thorn actually has a passion for science, creativity, and innovation, as his biggest idol and inspiration is Albert Trollstein, the smartest Troll who ever lived. And because of that, he's actually taken the time and patience to build numerous rooms underneath his pod, including a large and expansive secret laboratory, which can all be accessed with an elevator hidden behind one of the many walls of his pod, which only he knows about. Another one of his hobbies is creating inventions, but most of the time, they often result in chaos, destruction, and end up in a disaster much to the chagrin of his fellow Trolls. But he never lets that get him down. Some of Thorn's biggest values in his life is honesty, independence, perseverance, and being true to oneself.
Hey, everyone, just wanted to fully introduce myself to this Subreddit by showing you all my first ever Amphibia frog OC. His name is Glade.
If the already existing characters in the Trolls universe interacted with my OC, Thorn for the very first time ever, how do you think they would interact with each other and why?
Original audio: Mark Rendall as Todd from Wayside (Season 1, Episode 1, "Pull My Pigtail/Class Cow")
I drew this one mainly because I felt like they did NOT do Branch's movie design justice in the shows, so I decided to fix that, but I can't take all the credit for this one. That goes to Antinatrey (the person behind the art of the second slide), another fellow Trolls fan. Their designs is what inspired me to make this and my "Thorn with edge" posts. You can check out their Tumblr here: https://www.tumblr.com/antinatrey
Wanted to shed some light on these two female Trolls OCs I found on Instagram and Pintrest. The first one's name is Jolty, created by Zoraxys on Instagram, and the second one's name is Berry, created by The_Xuri on Instagram (I couldn't find the original picture on Instagram, I can't really determine what happened to it, but luckily I found it on Pintrest).
