500+ homes + a grocery store on La Brea’s 212 bus corridor — support 1000 N. La Brea at tonight’s hearing (10/1)
Hey r/LAMetro! YIMBY LA here.
Tonight, the West Hollywood Planning Commission will consider 1000 N. La Brea, a proposal to replace an old cement plant at La Brea and Romaine with:
- 500+ new homes, with 25% set aside as deed-restricted affordable housing
- A 30,000 sq. ft. grocery store
- A new public plaza
The site is on La Brea’s Metro 212 bus corridor, which connects to the D Line at Wilshire/La Brea and the B Line at Hollywood/Highland.
We want more people to have the option to live near transit and handle everyday errands without getting in a car. Adding homes and a grocery store together on this corridor would help make that possible.
Want to help get this built?
1. Send a letter supporting the project. You can use our campaign form to tell the Planning Commission why you support more housing here.
2. Join us at tonight’s hearing — in person if you can!
- When: Today, Thursday, October 1, at 6:30 p.m.
- Where: West Hollywood Park Public Meeting Room, 625 N. San Vicente Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA 90069
If you want more housing, more potential transit riders, and more everyday destinations along our bus corridors, please show up! We'll be there wearing our Legalize Housing shirts. Hope to see you!
