First time buyer with some questions? (Storage, care, etc.)

Hello!

Preface: I have yet to buy a motorcycle, and there's a few questions I still have that make me wonder if it's even an option for me. I live in an apartment in South Uptown in Minneapolis and don't have any plans to buy a house any time soon. I always grew up riding OHVs, but that's when I lived out in the middle of nowhere Wisconsin where we had a garage or shed to store them. Now that I have the means, I want to get back into riding, but I don't live in the country with a garage anymore, I live in a big city with regulations I'm still learning. My apartment has garage parking, but I'm not sure I'll ever get a spot. I do see motorcycles parked in our surface lot, and on the streets, so I know there has to be options, but I'm kind of lost on where to look.

Questions:
Where can I store a motorcycle over the winter in the cities?
Can I park my motorcycle in the street like any other vehicle? (Are there nuances?)
What do I need to know about keeping my motorcycle outside? (Weather protection, Theft protection)
Would anyone specifically recommend against owning a motorcycle while living in an apartment?

Looking forward to hearing your answers. Thanks!

New tó Sewing Machines

Hello! Making my first post here because im looking for some advice from people more experienced with machine sewing.

For some context, I love altering my own clothes, but some of the things I wanted to do were just way too time consuming to justify. Now I have a machine and want to tackle some of those projects. Something I'm stuck on right now is upcycling a pair of jeans that fit great in the waist, but they have a "wide at the hips, skinny at the ankles" look that I hate. I'm trying to sew a panel of denim into the outside seam, but I'm having a hard time getting the seam to be "perfect". Visually, I dont think this is much of an issue, but I'm getting in my own head about it because "what if it makes the pants lay weird?" When hand sewing, it's much easier to control where each stitch is anchored, but working with these pants has me worried that this isnt something I can do with a machine.

I guess the question I have is, what's the threshold for "imperfections" I should have? Is keeping an article of clothing perfectly symetrical and unwarped really as important as im making it out to be, or do those imperfections have a way of correcting themselves?

Being new to using a machine, I appreciate any responses. Thanks!
