Canada Model 3 RWD = Same Specs as China Premium RWD?

cdn model spec same as Tesla China premium rwd

Is it now safe to assume that all the Model 3 RWDs we’re getting in Canada are basically aligned with the China-built Model 3 RWD premium specs Even the pricing seems to line up pretty closely.

Tesla China:
235,500 RMB × 0.20 ≈ CAD 47,100 (cars in China have the 13% VAT included)

Tesla Canada:
~42,132 + HST ≈ CAD 47,609

The range numbers are different, but that could just be due to different testing standards (CLTC vs. EPA).

Also, since deliveries are happening in June, it didnt really make sense for Tesla to suddenly switch to a different spec/configuration. Before, the acceleration figures weren’t lining up (4.2 vs. 5.2 sec), and honestly that made things more confusing. Now, at least, it seems consistent.

If the above is correct, then we are getting:

  • 9 speakers
  • Rear screen
  • Double-pane glass
  • Ventilated seats
  • Vegan leather
  • Photon wheels
  • 463 EPA (634 CLTC) range
  • Ambient lighting
  • indicator stalks
  • Front Facing Camera
  • Seat adjustment button
  • Heated Seat Front and Back

If they probably change any of the features above, I will definitely cancel the order.

And for everyone upset about Tesla, I get it — it sucks. But walk into Toyota anywhere in ontario and try buying a RAV4 Hybrid or Camry Hybrid. You deal with stupid markups, upselling on accessories, and dealers not even giving you an allocation and making you wait.

It’s all the same in the end. It just depends on what you’re willing to put up with. whether it’s Tesla or Toyota, companies are still trying to maximize profits, and consumers end up dealing with markups, upselling, waitlists, or changing specs

Tire wear on Model 3 RWD highland

Hi All

Just wanted to check with people who own the Model 3 Highland RWD — how has your tire wear been so far? I expect the wear to be higher because of the battery weight. Apparently, I’ve seen people getting only around 30–35k km out of a set, which is quite scary (this is apparently with tire rotation).

I’ve been reading through forums and learned that regular tire rotation is very important, along with avoiding excessive acceleration. I also saw discussions about the previous Model 3 having negative camber issues that caused uneven tire wear, so I’m wondering if that has been addressed on the Highland or if people are still using camber kits.

What kind of mileage are you getting from a set of tires on the Highland RWD?

Apparently, the OEM tires are not that great, so once I go through the original set, what tire brands would you recommend that last longer?

Appreciate any feedback or real-world experience. Thanks!
