I have struggled so much of this year and feel like it’s drowning me. Any insight/advice very much appreciated. [astro.com]

I’m working in a career that I love, pays well, makes me feel like I’m making a difference; engaged; soaking in the last few years with my senior soul dog; learning really cool things about renovating my own home.

But I am so, so numb. I am having to fake it til I make it and WOW this is a lot of faking. I’m experiencing really unexpected future MIL issues, and my partner is also struggling to figure out what is going on with her. For many many reasons, but MIL included, we delayed the wedding (I refuse to get married with the level of discourse that’s going on), and I feel like I can’t get anything right anymore.

My intuitions are solid but my reactions/judgement calls are off, I’m working harder than I ever have and I can’t seem to get out of the sink hole of home ownership. I just want to enjoy my engagement, plan a wedding (I’ve been severely indecisive), prepare to start a family, and just bask in all of these big milestones. I’m burnt out and ready to crawl away for forever.
